Turnitin's AI writing detector reads seven languages as of October 2026. Every other language still gets a similarity report, but no AI score.

- Mixed-language documents aren't supported and can give odd results.
- Machine translation into English often reads as AI to the English model.
- Institutions choose: some non-English models are add-ons your institution may not have.
